There is no use to reprice the options since most option's strike prices are still lower than $30 (except this year's option price,i.e. $46). This is why we have today's cc to jawbone the price of the stock up.

Paul,

Options granted to employees generally have a very long expiration date--usually 5 years. While this may be inconvenient to employees if they cannot exercise their options righ tnow, that is probably not the driving force behind the CC. I am sure that people whom were granted options between 1993 and 1995 are still making a just a little bit of money if they exercised today, in spite of the seemingly brutal equilibration of their stock.
