Using the "L" word to the bears is like the proverbial red flag to a (real) bull.

I don't have to defend July's levels to observe that there's a lot of liquidity between Dow 9300 and Dow 5000. Besides, if anything, the latest "world financial crisis" is going to send more funds here, not dry them all up; I have to disagree that there's no capital left out there.

In another move guaranteed to drive the bears apoplectic, it is also only a matter of time before at least a portion of our (former) social security contributions are earmarked for the market--maybe 5 yrs., but its coming.

Take heart in the fact that after *8* years we've had a couple of *months* of net redemptions. Short some banks and chip makers, make a little money, and realize that there are millions of people with billions of dollars that are now so inured to the market and the magic of 401(k) that a sustained drop to 5k or below won't happen.
