Bill Fleckenstein, principal of Fleckenstein Capital Management and long-time bear, has preached about an upcoming bear market for years. Are current market declines sweet vindication for Bill or is this just his 10 minutes of fame? This thread is dedicated to Fleckenstein and will provide a means for SI members to ask or share ideas with perhaps the best known "Bear" on Wall Street. Fleck will participate in the discussions from time to time, so let him know if you agree with his doom-and-gloom forecasts. I'll start by asking: Is this the bear market you've been calling for?

For interested parties, Bill has chronicled his market analysis in his Daily Market Rap on StockSite (http://www.stocksite.com). Bill is also a frequent CNBC guest.
