Rainmaker,

Nice post. And I hope it all proves true because I along with alot of others on this tread have taken an absolute beating on this stock.

One question though, why do you think PAIR makes 18c this quarter? If I remember right, last Q3 was stronger than the consensus which PAIR I think later attributed to US government budget year end purchases.

Is this what you're basing your prediction on?

Thanks

Just wondering why do you think the HDSL market will continue to grow when the industry seems to have confirmed ASDL as the next big thing? A second question open to everyone is has anyone seen any articles regarding ASDL products and has Pairgain been named as one of the top contenders.

Excellent analysis Rainmaker. I would add one more thought to your logic chain.

If mass market ADSL fails to materialize because of crosstalk problems in the binder pairs, remember PAIR owns the HDSL market in the U.S. This means S-HDSL or HDSL2 should place them into an extremely advantageous position. Especially if it turns out HDSL2 or S-HDSL becomes the dominant form of transmission for businesses.

I have been a PairGain stockholder and am currently looking to get back in at what seems like prices that are unbelievable. Your comments are extremely positive and all, which I don't disagree with but; Why has the stock been sinking so quickly (Asia?) with such positive speculation such as buyouts by LU or BA and owning U.S. market in HDSL. Doesn't add up. Enjoyed your comments!
