Well I've got to thank you too! Made some handsome profit this week which bailed me out of my disastrous [DELL-hide this word from Diamond H] experience Monday and Tuesday of this week. Presently long NEM, NGC, DBRSY, SUT, and APA. Would like to short LU and DELL, just don't have the balls. My IRA manager, who is basically a trader, has an interesting observation. He says so far people have just been hearing about their portfolios going down on the evening news. He believes when their actual results arrive in hand Sept. 15 or so, we'll see another down leg. Also he had some data on previous bear markets dating back to 1947. The 2 smallest were 23 and 24% ['46/'47 and '81/'82] and the two largest 45 and 36% ['73/'74 and '87]. The present decline is 19.6%. Oh! OK! we have 0.4% to go before we can call it a bear....
