Michele..I can't read your posts and stay quiet any longer. You try so hard to be a "liberal' but you want the perks and lifestyle of a capitalist. Your arguments betray you. And as to studies about 'accomplished mothers,'...that's rubbish. There is at least an article or media piece per week, if not day, showing the decaying results of under-nurtured children. Do you not stay informed? Many citizens in their 20's and 30's are trying to scale back..so one can stay home...to NURTURE...by having one car, smaller house, etc. If what you claim is as important as you claim, you would reset your priorities to achieve such. You talk...no act. Sorry, it wasn't really my business....but my own kids are all talking about to simpler life, and asking a lot of question about how it 'used to be.' They show true interest in undoing the excesses the past several generations have been heaping upon our youth. I am probably older than you: you did not ask for advise. But I really think you need to spend more time with those very precious kids while you can and get off this silly thread. Check the number of posts you make.....Please.
