The exact nature of the derivatives is, it is true, beyond my full comprehension. My very small bet, which goes into the teeny portion of my port called "highly speculative issues," was made for other reasons. It seems unthinkable that the derivative problem would wipe them out in two years, but I grant that it's possible in this current environment. We're down from a high of 78 to today's 49, so it's hardly a manic top. It's a contrarian bet if anything, since it's plummeted so far so quickly.

But thanks for pointing that out, I appreciate it. Please, however, refrain from making assumptions about people based on their SI log in name, as I am not Japanese.
