<sigh> You seem to argue for the sake of arguing, so I will let you do that, further, I will apply your own advice, and that is I will ignore you, as I simply do not see any substance to your arguments, you merely argue. Before I do that I will address the following, in which you are flat wrong:

they have every right to pursue their ideals for education, as we have the right to work against it.

No, actually they do not. That is the law.

While they are free to pursue their type of education under a private school, however they DO NOT have the right to impose their ideas at their will and ignoring present law, implementing religious indoctrination and prayer in public school. Again, read PUBLIC SCHOOL, SUCH IS AGAINST CURRENT LAW.

There are mountains of case law supporting the above, all the way to the Supreme Court.

In addition, equally important to their right to free speech there is the right to individual privacy, and attempting to impose their views on others that are unwilling infringes on the right to privacy of those who are unwilling.

Further, there is common decency and plain manners under which they simply should SHUT UP !!

Okay, then dont. AGain, I am not a Christian, but Ihardly get offeneded if someone suggests I should convert to christianity. All you have to do is politely decline.

So now you are telling me what to do ??? I do not think so, for starters. I do take offense to their preachings because I know these people and their goal (in their ideal world), is to convert everyone, including children who do not have the capacity to make these type of decisions on an informed basis.

The fact that you do not take offense to such action does not mean I have to follow your behavior, nor that gives you the right to tell me how to act. As I told you, I take offense because there is a basic right to privacy, I do not care to hear their stuff. You can do as you wish.

Once again, if they want to do so with their own children, then I have no problem, but when they attempt to do it to other children, then I do object.

I am ahrdly in agreement with the religious right(I am a liberal Democrat)but they have the right ot believe and try to influence the culture of this country, to the same degree that you and I do. If most people disagree with them, their effect will be negligible.

Forgive me, but either you know NOTHING about these people, and indeed are a very naive individual, or you are flat stupid, I do not know you, therefore I will be nice to you and assume that you are simply naive. For your own benefit, I recommend you inform yourself about what the agenda of the Christian Coalition is, as we speak today.

As a sample I submit to you, that under IRS regulations Churches and religious organizations are forbidden to influence public policy, if they do, they lose their tax free status. (the fact that they enjoy tax free status, I find it objectionable, but I guess that is a different topic).

People like you is what they expect to find, do not believe me, go read some history books, start with the rise of Hitler in Germany.

that is a silly and untrue response. Of course it is only your opinion. No one can impose guilt on you. You are free toeither accept or deny any guilt. YOu are also free not to listen.

So now, you also know all the facts in my personal life, and indeed, you are calling me a liar..... well, I will now change my mind and change your status from naive, to pretentious ignorant.

How can you possibly know, in which way have these type of people affected my personal life? The mere act that without knowing the facts, you express your opinion in such pontificating style, tells me your opinion has absolutely ZERO value, you are pretentious and plain ignorant.

Not one, but in at least three different and unrelated instances have these types of "christians" have had an effect on me.

Because I choose not to make these matters public, I will not state them here, for your benefit, I have sent a PM in this reference.

You are promoting the sam thing, just from a different viewpoint.

Untrue and unsubstantiated statement, No I do not promote my beliefs, you are free to think and do as you wish, I could not care less, they do not do that, their acknowledged intent is to go on "missions" to convert, indeed they preach most of the time. In addition, I have never broken the law, they have, that is a big difference.

You know NOTHING about me, yet you express your pontificating opinions as if you had all the facts in front of you. You sir, are a pathetic joke.

Beauty is where you find it, it is a personal observation.

Indeed it is, thank you for agreeing with me, and as it is a personal observation, it should remain so, not imposed upon.

The fact remains that in your quest to be free from religion you are just as dogmatic and "in your face" as many of the proslytizers that reprimand for the same action.

Wrong again, I have no quest, I simply react to their missions, because I know how they are, I will defend my right to privacy as I see fit, I do not attempt to convince you or anyone to do anything, again you are wrong, or simply do not know how to read.

That doesn teven include your feeling that you must denigrate the beliefs of all those who think differently.

So now, after all the beating around the bush, you get to your point, this is what bothers you, you have said it all along and repeat it as a parrot that "everyone has the right to say what they want".

You take offense at my reaction. Well that is your problem, my view is they do not have the right to impose their views on others and I have the right to privacy, therefore I will defend such right, according to the law, contrary to their methods, which in many instances they brake current law.

I do not denigrate anything. The fact that others may think differently than I, does not bother me at all, in fact I do welcome it. However, I will say again, I will oppose the attempt form others to impart religious indoctrination.

In addition, I do not denigrate these people, they do that by themselves, they surrender their mind and its capabilities to a mystic god, who they have never met, nor can they prove their existence, other than a mere figment of their imagination, and to be clear, since you do not seem to "get it": I do not care if their imagination tells them they must believe in the sacred cow, I DO NOT CARE. What I object to is their indoctrination to unwilling recipients, particularly children.

Now.....

As stated at the beginning, your arguing seems without logic, either you simply like to argue, or you are a fake, I find your points without merit, misconstrue my statements and assume things that are not true..... highly suspect. (at best).

It is evident to me that arguing with you is senseless, since you either do not understand, do not care to understand, and in fact, you misconstrue my statements. In addition, you seem to "know all the facts" (or at least so you think), when you actually do not know them, so I suggest that you go your way, and I go my way, (see I have no problem with others thinking and acting different than I).

So no, need for further discussion as we have already killed this dead horse.
