James, I watch for unusual option activity and saw NEM calls being heavily traded about a week ago. I couldn't tell if they were being written or bought long. The spike down in gold on fears of Russian dumping with subsequent rumors of the government clamping down on any wild reserve selling had me wondering if it wasn't the bottom... or at least a point of balance between seeing gold as a safe haven in currency distress. Merrill Lynch upped its gold opinion recently for a few issues... I believe as a trading op. Jim
