Barb Birck stated that there is a force majure clause in the new agreement that allows the deal to be aborted if a sea change occurs for either side. Right now both sides are in a lose-lose situation. The shareholders' can put a kabosh on the deal, then management is exculpated from blame. Suspect we will rally after Labor Day on any good news in the environment. Today's sell off reflects logistics of a long weekend rather than fundamentals. Normally, the CEO's statement that the deal is a go would rally the troops but people for rolling over for the short sellers. I'm starting to believe you can make a hell of a lot more money from the short side short term. Have a nice weekend just the same! Daniel
