Exactly! The picture is really frightening because most investors are blissfully unaware of what is going on. Most think it is simply a benign mechanism to get everyone on the same side. I think that Buffet's attitude is the only ethically correct one. Unfortunately, this practice is so widespread that I would be relegated to investing in only a handful of companies were I to use that as an investment criterion.
