Is there something planned or are you saying he'll trot out IF we break-down?

I read somewhere that he is scheduled to give a major speech tonight at 7pm (EST) on the topic "Is there a new economy?" (or similar). There is no question-and-answer session, but if there were a break-down I would expect him to say something. So perhaps the best (for bears) is the Dow ending at a new low (for the downturn), below the 20 % decline, but without a Monday-style collapse.

I am surprised about the many buyers today. The morning rally was an obvious head-fake (MMs, LG?), but someone continues buying the dips. I would have expected the Dow to be down by 100 points at this stage or at least before the obligatory early-afternoon rally.

Regards,

Phil
