I ask you, which would be easier -- for Intel and a few of its friends to take over the box biz or IBM,HP, and CPQ to become successful chip manufacturers with a winning brand name. It seems to me that everything depends on the superiority of the circuits.

Part of what I got from reading the article is IBM HP & CPQ are trying to use Intel to compete more effectively with DELL. While they are trying to convince Intel to go along with their plans they will sell as many INTC CPU's as their customers will buy which of course is 80% of the market worth i believe?
