Don

<<I'll be damned if I'm going to sell any of my stock at these levels, and since it's all paid for and not subject to margin calls, there isn't a damn thing these pig loving market makers can do to shake loose any of my shares without raising the price. F*** 'em!!! >>

AMEN!! I not margined either and I'll wipe with my shares before I bail now. haha It sucks to be down 50% and feel like i'm one of the very lucky ones.

I wasn't so much thinking of s3 & copper, I was thinking competition.
Savage seems competitive to this layman but not the blow out we hoped for. If we "leap froged" it's looking like a little leap. What happened to that damn mallet action s3 was talking about.

Did you notice the press release where Banato (one of s3's founders, probably way off on spelling his name) is on the Board of another start up company? I think system on a chip is the focus of the start up. Don't quote me, if anyone is interested I could go try to find the release.

Regardless of outcome, there are too damn many graphics companies and i for one am ready for all hell to break lose.

Hey Don,
Isn't copper more expensive? That IBM would use it doesn't surprise me. (Longevity would be a key issue, but I guess they wouldn't announce it unless they had stressed the product pretty thoroughly. )
IBM has always been pricier. When anyone asks if they should buy a pc from IBM or Gateway or Joe's New Age Pizza 'n' PC's Poodle Parlor, I tell 'em that basically the extra money you pay IBM is in the logo on the machine. If you want peace of mind knowing that nothing will go wrong, go with IBM. The other brands will more than likely NOT fail any sooner, but those three letters make concepts like warranty and guarenteed hold a little more value. Frankly, in the time it took for Fifi to be shampoofed, clipped, & neutered, Joe put me together a real nice multimedia box with a parallel-port-connected-convection-oven for the pizza. (Ovens sold "as-is")

As far as your closing comment on the Market Manipulators, what could I possible add?

JP

"Onward", George, and up (ward)

Don,

Ok, I'm just going to come right out and say it. I'm aroused. DAMIEN even stopped grinning for a second.

Onward and ditto,

George
