Sid, That's what my observation has been regarding Liviakis. Very large up move followed by collapse. Since PESI hasn't had the up move yet, it's probably too early to short. As a matter of fact I'm currently long since the stock was cut in half during the market decline. I've never seen even the worst of these REG.D/S discounted converts go straight to zero, without some sharp bounces prior. A couple of caveats on PESI. 1. Insider buying. Easily explained, but still different from what I'm used to seeing. 2. Not a huge REG.D. Only $3 million. 3. Company just received a big government contract and is in an interesting business. Waste disposal/pollution control. 4. Don Wolanchuk recommends it. He was No.1 market timer (Timers Digest) for about 3 years running, until just recently. He is very highly regarded. Maybe I'm being too hard on them on the PESI Yahoo board? Thanks for your thoughts. Dwight
