Yeah as far as I know at this point both Manu and I2 have offerings in either area, CPG and discrete. Manu purchased Promira last year which does high tech mfg I understand, and Im not exactly sure about the I2 CPG offering, (whether it was purchased or home grown) but I2 has won some CPG contracts lately although Manu is still the CPG SCM leader. Oracle partners with both I2 and Manu and just in general makes the recommendation that all the CPG customers use Manu and all the high tech discrete mfg go I2.

I2 is the marketing powerhouse so they will probably win both spaces eventually as far as the autonomous SCM players.

Its a hard call, because even though I2 would ordinarily be perceived as the better play in the space, Manu is actually a better value in a better sector. So, Manu could get acquired whereas I doubt I2 would be even with the current valuation.
