Traded some OEX puts from Wed to Fri. Only doubled -- though at one point were almost triple Fri -- after I sold. I'm a terrible at timing things.

My junior golds twitching like they want to come to life -- but I don't expect anything until gold reaches 340 or 350 an ounce.

So glad I sold SHVA before earnings. Some of these smaller stocks have been pummeled.

I have lots of puts on individual stocks -- counting on further declines.
Can't see what will prop the market. Very suspicious of the two quick buy backs toward the close Thurs and Fri. Smells like intervention.

Read in the paper today that Latin America and Canada account for over 40% of US exports. That sounds like the US is in some deep stuff to me, but I've been wrong before.

If SPX goes back up around 1050 or so I will buy a few thousand worth of deep OOM index puts. Seems highly improbable now, but this market has surprised me many times.
