I think we will go much lower. I just wish Sir Alan would have given his speech this morning around 10 am EDT. My short positions would have thanked him.

MileHigh, all you said is true and has been known for some time.
So why is the stock much lower NOW? This is bigger than the semi
equip industry. Everybody is waiting for another country to go
bankrupt. So people go to cash, bonds or "safe" stocks. Except,
there is no such thing as a safe stock.

I wait and see.
Our 93 voters think collectively the AMAT low will be
about 19 1/2 this year. (I just eye-balled the bar chart)

I hope everyone just voted once.

BTW, back in March the vote was for a low of 27.
You can tell by the initials who got it right.

>>The recent string
of announcements on semi plant closings is bullish, which should shore up profits
and build a case for fab upgrades, but how far off is that?<<

don't be fooled. closing a 4 mb fab b/c a new 64 mb fab is operational isn't good news ;-) btw, any closed fabs - like siemens - can be opened any time, and will once profits come back online.
