Yahoo has not turned a profit from operations YET. If you take away the interest income earned on their "IPO wad" they have been in the red for every quarter since the beginning.

Oc, not quite. Yhoo is sitting on almost $400 million in cash, thanks in part to a $250 million investment on July 8th by Softbank, which now owns 31% of Yhoo.
Bezos is getting closer to the deep pockets he will so desperately need, in a few years.
