I agree with your statement of people buying a lot of Barrons. The other comment was my own editorial. Sorry for any confusion.

Let's see- we have one self-proclaimed short-selling mutual fund manager who is predicting a price of "under $10" for Amazon in the near future, and we have Merril Lynch with a "reduce" rating- something I've rarely seen before, especially for a nasdaq darling such as Amazon. Plus latin america is about to collapse financially, and I think tuesday will certainly be a down day. The great thing about Amazon is that you know _some day_ there will be a catastrophic decline in the stock price. We've already seen it fall more than 50% in less than 2 weeks.. (140+ down to a low of 65 before rebounding)
I just can't wait to wake up and see the pre-market bid/ask's flashing down 40 points before the open. :)

Check out where the other e-tailers are trading.. EGGS is trading around 7 bucks, and Cyberian Outpost is 50% below its IPO price of last month. And we won't even discuss software.net, which has been cut in half after people realized they were never going to make a dime. (now trading around 9 bucks) Lets see- every other online commerce play is trading below 10 bucks. I think Amazon will join this group as far as stock price goes, before September is out.

I hope people will use the holiday to do research on their own, and perhaps uncover the gory details of the "stock for books" deal.

>>I agree. AMZN stock holders will be flooding their brokers Tuesday with SELL
orders.

I didn't say that.

William,

You are correct; you did not say that. I also do not agree with it. I have too many times read negative ariticles on Amazon without it bringing the stock down at all. Amazon has an uncanny way of keeping their stock up and ofter increasing its value. I admit to not understanding its valuation but slao to not underestimate the strength of the stock. I have been burned too many times with AMZN to ever feel confident regarding direction.

By the way, as much as I do not like the company, I would love to higher the person that writes their press releases. They are the best bar none and this person could sell refrigerators to Eskimos. He/she would be a real asset to my advertising in my stores. I believe credit should be given when due. Congrats to whomever writes those releases.

Glenn
