Joseph, I don't disagree that it would be tactically advantageous for Afghanistan to attack Iran's Oil infrastructure (in the event of open hostilities). But I doubt they have the will to do so. My impression is that they would be out of their league in a war with Iran. Also, I think they have their hands full internally as it is, and would not want to enter into a war with a powerful neighbor.
I could be wrong.
Other opinions solicited.
