Rock , Re:>>> IOM's fundamentals are weaker than ever <<<

The disk drive sector is looking for a bottom .

What you are saying about Iom is symbolic of the disk drive business in general . With the price / sales on these companies at a historic low one could expect a bottom to occur for this sector in the near future .

With the demise of syqest and the Zip inclusion in more and more computers on the shelves as we speak . How can one write off Iom as a Company in decline ?

The market is full of winners and losers and you cannot tell me that Iomega is a looser when the Zip Drive continues to be standard in more and more computers every day .

For Iomega to sell the Zip Drive at cost as their market grows is IMO a very good stratagy going forward . Their short term earnings may suffer but the gains they are making in their market share makes it worth while . The future of the removable storage is in Iomega's hands and they are winning the race .

As far as the present price being what it is , this will give Iomega's management the opportunity to reset their future stock options to the benefit of their employees .
