Vepoc. Re: PBS Wall Street Week. No market forecasts on Wall St. Week. Ralph Acampora said too soon to tell if this is a bottom. His guest liked Intel and mentioned that 10 year treasuries have a 5% yield which equates to a 20 P/E, which makes the S&P 500 at 21+ look not too overvalued.

Re: "I hope that the US is not going to get its knickers in a twist over Clinton." Don't count on it. Starr report due out soon. Democrats are starting to pull away from clinton. Att'y Gen'l has 3 (count 'em) pending reviews going simultaneously on '96 campaign finance stuff, any one of which can lead to an independent counsel. This thing will drag out.

Re: "There is concern about what will happen in the US in reaction to South America and other troubled financial markets." Greenspan finally recognized the need to be at least neutral on interest rates. Best guess is he will lower them Sep 29, more in reaction to tumbling commodity prices (deflation) than any reaction to the U.S. stock market correction.
