Joey... DELL's buybacks.... using puts to get lowest price.

Do you or anyone else know where this information might be generally available other than TMF. This is the type of information that helps eliminate FUD factors. Is is in quarterly reports, or filings?

Joey, confusion prevails: a put contract is the right to sell stock at a predetermined price (the strike price) within a predetermined period. The obligation rests with the seller of the puts to purchase shares from the buyer of the put at the strike price at the discretion of the put owner. If Dell sells put contracts how can it exercise them? The holder of the contract (i.e., the buyer of the put) has the right to sell shares. The seller of the put cannot obligate the buyer to sell his shares.

Hi, Joey! How it's done: Sell 2001 130Puts: $41, Buy 130Calls: $38. The puts pay for the calls, plus $3 extra cash.

In 28 months when Dell is 3-400 or more the puts are worthless, and the calls return incredible profits to the buyer.

This is not a recommendation, do not inhale, contains no aspartame.
I'm not a broker, keep away from children.

Short term play: Sell the November 140 straddle for $40. Safety zone is 100-180. If Dell is outside these limits just roll out the bad one and sell another straddle.

Good investing!
