Just a purely political observation, here, but I think you may be guilty of the sin of omission. Sorry but true. In your list of conservative whatevers you forgot to mention these 2 stalwarts of the
right wing cabal supporting Q:

Fritz Hollings and Matsui of Calif.( hardly candidates for the
" most beloved " list of the right ).

Tero:

Any argument you make can be so easily countered with one of the oldest, most oft-repeated quotes on the Qualcomm thread---"If Qualcomm and its CDMA technology is not important to the future of wireless communications, then why does ERICY bother with them? Why do they even mention their name in passing?"

Why? Because QCOM holds the key, and ERICY can't have it.

Tero - how is is that you literally seem to know more about "popular culture" and U.S. politicians than I do? (I guess this is probably more a reflection on me than you ...)

But, once again, you have me suspicious about whether or not you are really just some smart scientist in Europe, and not some "operative" for Ericsson or ETSI?

Maybe one of us on the thread should really take you up on your offer to visit you in Finland (?)

Jon.

Dear Tero --

If things in Russia get much worse they might adopt the age old policy of starting a little local war just to divert everyones attention and get some cohesion back in society.

If that happens and it isn't all that far away you might find all those Nokias useful to report the postion of the advacning Red Army tanks.

At that stage if anyone comes to your help it is more likely than not going to be customers and the relatives of the staff of QCOM.

Regards,

L
