Doug:

Did a reverse (upsidedown, inverted) RSI trick scan and came up with same
list as bdog plus a few more. bdog I didn't use "typical 56 pre req" scan.
I do remember said scan back quite a while.

I tried a second scan with different settings to try and get some possible hits
for the next day or two. List is shown below, sorry for the length but I guess
that just reinforces the bad market conditions we may be in. Oh I tried same
scan for RSI trick and didn't get a hit. The only requirement I put in was an
average volume of over 25,000 shares for the last month. I can see where you
could be late on a few hits but right now I want to see if I'm doing this right.

Doug with your vast and superior knowledge (sucking up to the master) could you
critique my calls below to let me know if I'm in the ballpark or still outside
the stadium. The stocks I have an asterisk buy am I correct in assuming these
would be a sell (short) late Tuesday if they are down for the day?

Doug,

Just heard some fundamental reasoning that backs up your TA on the overall market. Was wondering why Russia and Brazil should matter to us at all given the relatively small sizes of their economies. Russia equal to that of The Netherlands for example. The answer is that many US mutual funds were not only heavily invested in Russia and Brazil, but they were invested with a special type of margin that is reserved for institutions. That is 10 times margin leverage!, as opposed to the normal 2 times leverage. This dropped their net asset values so low after margin calls, it left them with zero cash for even a normal amount of redemptions. The only thing left for these pinheads, was to sell all their winners. This is going to leave a tremendous number of incredible companies selling dirt cheap when this is over.

I think that if you and this thread can figure the best stocks to short right now, then switch back to the long side when the voodoo is at its optimum, we could be holding all 56 meetings on the beach in the Cayman Islands!!! I see this as an opportunity that may never come again in our lifetimes. Maybe then I could give up this aviation gig, and I might be able to try this whole drinking thing!! >>ggg<<

Doug

Have you looked at the Russel. I think it is starting to put in its base we have been waiting for. I am actually more optimistic toward the small caps then the large caps for this week. That is a total 180 from the prior month or more.

Will be sure to check the 89,3,5 stochs as I agree with your assesment of the DJ
