regarding norton's crash guard, i installed it on my system as part of norton's utilities 3.0. i can't speak directly to the software's ability to prevent crashes, but i can say something about their "anti-freeze" feature. anti-feeze says it will "unfreeze frozen applications"... hasn't worked once for me in about a dozen various opportunities.

i like that utilities 3.0 finds and fixes windows problems. that has been terrific. i have heard from many people that in their opinion, symantec's software creates as many problems (usually in the form of making a system unstable) as it fixes.

i keep it installed on my pc and think that i am the better for it.

good luck with yours.

Today I bought a black IBM Keyboard at CompUSA for
$35 (gave me a nice business discount). It is very sharp looking.
IBM uses metal connectors for each key. El cheapos use plastic.
Next time at the store, compare and note the difference.

I love these full tactile monsters for all my main computers...

Also bought Norton Crash Gaurd Deluxe for $9.
They have an instant $30 rebate going on right now.
The oldest computer in my network has been freezing
up and this software says it will gaurd against...I'll
give it a try. It says it has 3 times the crash gaurd
protection than the other products out there.

Bunch of Crap. I would take it back. If you want crash protection get NT.

IBM Keyboard
Between you and Sean, I'm sold....

some power sanding.

wear a good resperator, not those paper masks

Norton Crash Gaurd Deluxe

I've been using it on the Mac . Gives you the opportunity to close the crashing SW, software not Streetwalker, before it brings down your whole system. I hear Techtool Pro is better. Don't know if it runs in windows.

Sean is probably right, but then he's not a Greenhorn.
