I believe MSFT's monopoly in this area is about 94% last I heard. From what I remember, a monopoly is when a company holds more than 84% of the marketshare of a specific product or service area. S

Hah, I've been reading 70% makes you a monopoly.

Let's look at it another way. You have a monopoly if the competition owns less than 30% (my #) or 16% (your #) of the marketshare. In this case, the competition owns about 6% of the marketshare, which makes them either 30/6=5 times less powerful in the market or 16/6=2.66 times less powerful in the market than what's needed to head off a monopoly.
