Richard,

In as much as I hate to say it and in all honesty after being a loyal client of Charles Schwab & Company for over 12 years, IMO, Schwab & Company are pathetic liars and can no longer be trusted. During the past couple of years in particular, I've observed a degradation in quality of service and overall lack of good judgement on the part of many Schwab employees. Cases in point, orders due for fill often don't get filled for unacceptable reasons, orders that have been cancelled get filled days later, positions are liquidated due to slow processing of remittances, company appears to have reneged on promises of not imposing surcharges by upgrading eSchwab accounts and the information system while improving is lethargic or totally unavailable during peak periods, etc. At least as long as sufficient margin is maintained the brokerage should more diligent in notifying customers of impending actions for which they claim they can deem necessary at their discretion. Oftentimes, a little of everything is sold-off and commissions are generated. On a positive note, I praise Schwab for one thing. There is no outbound account charge to transfer your account elsewhere! And, one more thing, a Schwab employee cites the deluge of margin calls the company is experiencing as justification for not notifying all customers! I wonder what Charles Schwab's response would be to that?
