Emile,

Your point well taken. But think about this. Was God addressing in Hebrews 8:8-12, which refers back to Jeremiah 31:31-34, a people (which you are classifying as the Faith of Abraham SEED) that had the faith of the New Covenant, that just had not seen it come to pass in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ or people that had breaking his Old Covenant with no hope of the New Covenant as of yet?

Does it make logical sense that is who God is addressing, a people with a New Covenant faith already? Of course not! Then God wouldn't have to make the New Covenant so formally, because the people he was addressing it to already had it. He had to be making it to people breaking his Old Covenant without any hope in any other.

Also, look at the context the House of Judah/Israel is referred to back in Jeremiah. Their is no mention of people of the Faith of Abraham SEED to be found. Implying that the people of the Faith of Abraham SEED wasd who God was making this convenant solely who be non-sensical in context to the scriptures.

So to move ahead, lets take your scenario that God was making a New Covenant with both the House of Judah/Israel and the people of the Faith of Abraham SEED (which makes no sense to me). Let's examine Jeremiah 31 and see how these verses fit with the substitution of strictly the House of Israel/Judah first, and then Faith of Abraham SEED later. Can we do that?????

God Bless,
Steve
