Recently one of the high level minions actually acknowledged Linux and said they *were* a bit worried, at one of the trade shows.

It disturbs me that Linus is now working at a company funded or connected somehow with MSFT. He holds everything together in the Linux world, as I understand it. If they get to him... Sometimes idealists don't even know when they've been co-opted, if done cleverly enough.

I would like any comment as to the probability of MSFT being able to influence Linux development through this relationship, whether the relationship actually exists, what he is doing for them and so on. I am relying too much on rumor in this matter. If this above is not factual please let us all know. Linux now being the prime competition for NT, in my view, this is of some immediate concern.
