Read the speech again. Greenspan indicated that the board has turned neutral. There are twelve board members and a casting vote.

My guess is six members are now for easing and six for tightening and Greenspan is most likely still making up his mind.

That translates to no movement and NOT an easing like the markets seem to have heard.

Cooler heads will eventually figure it out. This was/is indeed the mother of all Bear traps. Look out below.
