TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 1998--Tri-Vision
International Ltd./Ltee will launch its v-chip product line, V-gis(TM)
(pronounced VEE'-jis), with a decoder set-top box on September 8th.
The launch will initially focus on the Midwest and Southern United
States and involve over 200 retail outlets. Three nationally recognized
retailers will participate. They are Toys-R-Us, Sam's Discount
Warehouse and H.H. Gregg.

Simultaneous with the regional start up, Toys-R-Us will launch
nationally with 700 retail outlets. Complete national distribution is
anticipated by the fourth quarter.

The V-gis(TM) decoder provides parents the ability to monitor what
television programming children watch based on an encoded program
rating. Broadcasters and cable companies have started the process of
rating television programs and encoding signals. The signal will enable
parents at first through decoders, and then via v-chip enhanced
televisions, to determine which programming is available to their
children.
