DocStone CAMPAIGN -- PERI (Periphonics)

Here is an oldie but moldie. PERI was a hot stock about two years back. A Magic 25 pick, momentum player favorite. BUt it collapsed after a series of disappointing earnings. PERI makes voice response hardware and software, speech recognition stuff.

PERI announced huge upside surprise after the bell, just blew away estimates for a loss. There has been huge insider buying for the past two months, large lots, on the open market. The stock is near a 52 week low. Earnings estimates are oging up. We can thank for poor market backdrop for this gem, it's rise tomrrow will be lower than normal givne the souring fundamentals and psychology.

Other comments: Boy, glad I bought Dell, GWT and INTC puts. I bought them after these stocks had made most of their intraday rise on Tuesday. Bought more DELL and INTC puts today. Sold all my THQI Dec calls and most of my THQI common. Today was not the minor profit tkaing session we were expecting. People are just continuuing to sell into rallies than buy the dips. And Greenspan just promised to think about lowering rates. I mean, people shrugged off "irrational" exuberance", why should they respond to "downward bias" in rates? The world is getting fu*ked up. I am completely to cash in my mutual funds, and half my trading portfolio is puts. I am still long IFCI, TSQD, DRIV and GLBX (sorry, didn't have time to write GBLX report).
