News release!! ComedyNet to Create First Official Website for 1998 Marshall's Women in Comedy Festival NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1998--ComedyNet, a network of American Interactive Media, Inc. (OTC BB:AIME), has been selected to create the official website (http://www.comedynet.com/marshalls) for the first 1998 Marshall's Women in Comedy Festival, according to Victorria Johnson, general manager of ComedyNet. The Festival, which will take place in New York City from November 11-15, 1998, is sponsored by the Marshall's Department Store and co-sponsored by Visa. It is presented by Comedy Central and will benefit the prevention of domestic violence through the charities of Victim Services and the Center for Children and Families. The Festival is produced by the John Schreiber Group. Talent booked for the Festival includes television stars Kathy Griffin ("Suddenly Susan") and Joy Behar ("The View"), and comediennes from Boston, Chicago, LA & New York. A highlight of the Festival includes a special evening with Paula Poundstone and Rita Rudner at Carnegie Hall on Wednesday, November 11th, which will be hosted by Mary Tyler Moore. Other special events include a "Women in Comedy" Luncheon hosted by Cindy Adams on that same day at 12:30pm. ComedyNet will produce live nightly webcasts from chosen Festival venues that can be watched on the website. Features on the site include a performer's page, club and venue information, a broadcast center with streaming audio and video, and a daily schedule of events. Ms. Johnson said, "Although the festival is taking place in New York City, fans of comedy around the world will be able to participate and laugh. ComedyNet has documented visits from 'viewers' across the United States and Canada as well as England, Belgium, Brazil, Russia and Japan. This diverse audience gives the Festival, and these talented women, a global presence." ComedyNet also produced the official website of the 1998 Toyota Comedy Festival in New York this past June. That festival was a success for the newly-launched website as it was the first major event produced by ComedyNet and served to double ComedyNet's viewership. American Interactive Media, Inc. (AIME) is dedicated to delivering proprietary, aggregated and licensed digital content and other Internet-based services. ComedyNet, AIME's 24-hour comedy network, debuted in May 1998.
