In today's Los Angeles Times there was an article talking about who should get the MVP McGuire, Sosa or others. Argument for McGuire was 62+ home runs, more interest in baseball......and argument for Sosa was that he helped Cubs reach/almost reach playoffs, also great numbers.......

Being more of a Met fan than a baseball fan I was only watching
hoping to see the Cubs lose. We get WGN on our cable here on Long Island and for the last two weeks I've been watching the Cubs while watching the Mets. The Cubs seem to be in command last night until the home run, afterwards they seemed to lose their concentration. The Mets still have a tuffer schedule including going to Atlanta.
I'd love to see them win the wild card but if I had to bet I'd
pick Chicago. Look at this way though, if the Mets do pull it out
it shouldn't be as painful for you as 1969 was.
