so i guess it wouldn't be that far fetched that if someone who was shorting a bb stock legally in hong kong they would do whatever possible to drive the stock price down. hmmm what could someone do to drive the price of a stock down besides shorting it. maybe they could open an account on silicon investor and become one of the most bookmarked bashers. they could tell everyone they are a millionaire and only bash to save the poor little guy from getting scammed. then they could post the reason why i bash is because of all the pm's i receive thanking me for the good work i do. here's a great test we could do if this mythical basher who says all these people pm him with thanks for his hard work started a thread. then we could go see how many of his so called pm fans posted thank you's on his thread. if he really bashes to save the little guy money from scams there should be a lot of thank you posts on his new thread. first we would have to eliminate all si bashers and hypsters posts from this thread and see what's left. since this is only a pretend scenario i will pick another si thread at random no accusations mind you and lets see if my theory works. Subject 22758 cav ps i cant find any thank you pm's on that entire thread can you, not accusing anyone just trying an experiment.

i want to make it perfectly clear everyone must stay on topic on this thread, if it doesn't have to do with short busting, short squeezes or anything to do with short selling it is off topic and will be reported to si bob. the credibility of any poster is not what's questioned on this thread, we question the message not the messenger. stay on topic everyone and we will do fine., this post is not specifically for you just a general message. so staying on topic i found a great post from one of si's more prolific posters, realized what a great cover this post would be for a shorter posting on si. let me make it clear i am not saying this poster is anything besides an honest man just felt if someone was a short hiding on si they could use a post exactly like this to throw off suspicion wouldn't you think. siliconinvestor.com just an example not any accusation, for all i know this poster is an honest compassionate man just exploring possible ways short sellers could depress the prices of a given security.
