Paul,
RE:"They love runaway best sellers - and the Celeron A, 300 MHz Mobile
Pentium II, 450 MHz Pentium II and Xeons are really in demand."

I doubt that any of those are in the demand like the Celeron-300A.
Does Intel feel a little sqeemish in the margin everytime a Celeron A goes out the door though. Best chip Intel has ever made. Like a Ferrari compared to the Pentium II, the oldsmobile with a 455.

Jim

Paul, Re: Intel Delivers
WOW, that brings back memories! Wasn't the original tag line "Intel Delivers Solutions"? Seems as true today (or more) than it was back in the late 70's/early 80's when it was coined.

Some folks seem to have the blinders on, viewing Intel's relative health only in the context of CPU's. Intel's focus is on the platform and the entire computing experience/solution (one example is your reference yesterday to NIC's). CPU's are an important part of the mix, but only one part of the focus.

Thanks for the memory!
Greg.
