Wouldn't it be strategically beneficial to Iomega for some vendor --if not Iomega itself -- to come out with a low-cost, standard-1.44MB USB 3.5" PC floppy drive (i.e. a stand-alone unit...not combo-ed as per LS-120 or HiFD)?

>>>I think IOM is ready, let Sony come, we will see just how dismally the marketplace will accept it.<<<

My point was that it doesn't matter if it is accepted or not... The PERCEPTION, the FACT that SONY is shipping this alternative, this added competition to ZIP will be enough to scare current and potential investors (at least the smart ones) away from IOM. (SONY is not SYQUEST)Those factors alone IMO will be enough to seriously rock IOMEGA's share price. I'm not saying that HiFD will ultimately win the war and replace ZIP I'm just saying that this development along with the IBM Mini Drive, huge hard drives, and IOMEGA's own miscues spell disaster when it comes to the price of IOMEGA's stock... Isn't that what most of us are interested in? Even though I'm no longer a stock holder I have been looking for a reason to buy back into IOMEGA to MAKE MONEY... I am more and more convinced that IOMEGA will remain broken for many years to come...

Based on your and S. Bateh's outlook are you still "backing up the truck" to load up on IOMEGA stock?
