AlohaMike/SunTzu,

Since we're sharing stories. I traded on paper (shorts) and everyone was a winner. My first (real) 7 short trades, again were all winners! I was ready to quit my day job!....My next two shorts...I woke one morning to a 30% and 40% gap up respectively....all the gains and than some were vapor.... Your comment "the very very overvalued stocks that are in a down trend are terrible shorts." That was what did me in on the last two shorts. What I ended up liking was to short a stock on bad news at the market open (missing the gap down); the stock will nearly always trade down till 10:00-10:15 and then either continue down or flat until 2:00-2:30. Close the position by 10:15 and you pick up 3-5% on each trade.

Best Regards,
Jim
