What's really dangerous is being a desperado with a death wish. That's essentially what you are when you insulted rudedog and claimed you know more then he does....not to mention looking like a damn fool. Anyone who took a little ounce of time would have instantly realized that rudedog knows what he is talking about. Period.

>>The fact remains that DELL is gaining market share on CPQ and if CPQ continues on the path they are following, they will definitely become the biggest box maker, but, their bottom line will not improve.

First of all, Compaq's market is increasing as well (maybe not in servers). What does this mean...both Dell and Compaq are growing. Second, Compaq is already the biggest boxmaker. The real money is not in the pcs but the high-end machines. I believe Compaq does 80% in high end machines. The addition of Tandem and DEC along with the help of Microsoft should prove beneficial.

>>Novel was the leader in Networking, toady, they trade for less than $12.00. They are alive, but they are not kicking. NT 5.0 if and when it comes out will virtually seal their coffin, but they will still be around for a long time.

I tend to agree with you; however, I think you need to take a closer look at NovelL. With the leadership of Schmidt, this company might just be able to rise from the dead. I use both NT and Netware...and I can tell you NT is a piece of junk, and I don't really see 5.0 getting that much better.
