<<If I want to buy and hold three (3) stocks for the next 7 to 10 years so they are a real asset for retirement, which 3 would it be? Seriously!>>

Make sure DELL is on top of your list -- this thread has many good reasons to own shares in this amazing growth company.

I would also consider CSCO, MSFT, AOL, and YHOO. Yet, you could just buy DELL and in 10 years you would be in VERY good shape. I recently sold my MSFT to buy more DELL. I challenge you to find a stock with a better risk/reward profile than DELL. There are many good reasons that I have over 70% of my long term holdings in DELL (the S & P stock of the decade).

Good luck with your investing decisions.

Good question: I am going to give you a list of more than 3 stocks:
INTC MSFT GE DELL MRK . Just buy them and forget about it. And wake up a multimillionaire in 10 years. This is my personal opinion and not a stock advisory.
PS: The order in which the stocks are listed does not indicate their relative importance.

JoeH..
DELL
CSCO
MSFT

You'll make the most money with DELL (they're going global and a PC on every desk and in every home is just getting started, plus there financial management is without compare).
CSCO is a steady earner (their move into DVD will be impressive, they are the backbone of the internet).
MSFT is a steady earner (their next version of NT will rocket them)

JMO (you still need to do you own DD)

Well, maybe for just the next 5 years, and then we re-evalute them, okay?

Funny you should ask. Asked myself same question 2 yrs ago:
1.DELL
2.PFE
3.BBY

is the answer I got-from myself. Yeah..yea. sure I added LU later. But as you can see, I tried to get tech, big pharma and retail.
How am I doing you ask? Well like most people on this thread, I have beaten 100% of ALL mutual funds in the country. Well at least for now, I must humbly add.

Happy investing.
