Hank,

Clinton is bad, bad news for the US market short term. A lot of foreign money has been pushing our market up the last couple of years and that money is likely to reverse out of our market in a big way now if that report is as bad as the press seems to believe it is. Clinton probably is deserving of everything he gets coming up. It's too bad he has to fall when the world economy is in such a mess. I just hope this doesn't screw up the US economy too bad. OTOH maybe the public will figure out the fed is one really in control of the economy, not the toons in office.

I have been mostly defensive in the market, so I'm probably hurting a lot less than Joe Sixpack investor (I know one person I work with who got a margin call already and is expecting another one soon). A lot of stocks are actually looking attractive on a valuation basis in the small or mid size market cap and in the energy/services sectors. A lot of stocks are down 50% plus already and trade with single digit P/Es (if you can believe analysts forcasts these days). Still it's a very dicey market.

I wonder if the Starr report will have diagrams (Just kidding - I REALLY wouldn't want to see that!)

So Matt Drudge's report of Clinton, Monica, and the cigar was true. It was too disgusting for me to believe.

What a sick man. I hope he resigns quickly.

Hank,

The Starr report was uglier than I had thought possible. You may just win our little gentleman's bet about Clinton leaving office early. Have a good weekend, and keep your kids off the internet.
