be read or downloaded here...

The mother of recent bears was -48% 1/73 to 10/74
But most were a little over 20%.

BB,

If all you are worrying about is a drop to 6000, then you sound way too bearish today. 6400 is a pe of about 16 with the world collapsing, but low interest rates. I can see it easily. However, if large companies keep spitting out good news, it will support prices not much lower than what we have now.

More on topic, the equips are suicidal now. An equip bear probably only needs to watch Japan. If they keep fiddling and stay inactive, amat has to go into the teens. Will you buy and hold if this happens within the month? Or will you wait for a later drop, since you don't see a recovery soon? Or have a made a pest of myself so i shouldn't expect an answer?

Big Bucks and Jacob, [edited] whenever things look really bleak I read these July 11th posts...

I'm very comfortable predicting that, at the next cycle top, AMAT will make $5/share, and be at a P/S ratio over 4. I expect to make much more than a double. And I'm willing to tolerate the wild ride.

I feel very comfortable expecting a 2x-4x gain in less than 3 years,
demand will be there, progress marches on. It is irrefutable.
Just my opinion,
