Doug, good question! I know bringing up the browser it can
automatically go to any website you specify. I have it set so it
goes to the last site I visited. [Navigator gives choices "blank page", "home" (any URL you specify) or "last visited"].

So, you want the browser to start automatically AND to open
multiple windows for multiple web sites? Reasonable request.
But I don't know if it's possible.

<Is there a way to automatically bring up my browser every time the computer is booted? >

Doug,

I can finally add something to this thread.
I recommend a program called Dunce from Vector Development.
vecdev.com

It's free and it allows you to automatically connect (and re-connect) to your ISP and launch your browser. Dunce Gold is is the pay version with some added bells and whistles.

I paid $29 bucks for a different program called RAS+95 which did the same thing but I like Dunce even better (not just because I'm cheap <g>)

You can either put your browser program in the StartUp folder and it will automatically launch Duncer or vice versa.
I'm using Internet Explorer 4.01 on a Gateway P5-166.

hope this helps,
gary

Doug, the way I do it;
I never shut off my computer and always have a browser page open for every web site I use. Right now I have 12 browsers open with 48M ram and don't have any problem. Leave the browsers open or minimize them to the task bar. But all you have to do in the morning is connect and all your web pages are already loaded. Only problem is it's a pain when the computer crashes or the power flickers off and you have to reload everything, but this usually only happens every couple weeks or so. Other thing I do is set the energy feature on the monitor to turn the monitor off after a few minutes so you don't use much energy leaving your computer running.

Here's an annoying problem I have;
If you delete a program by any means other than the control panel add/delete software, the program is gone but the add/delete software utility still shows it as a program you can delete. When you try to delete it, it just says program not found. If you've deleted a program, is there any way to delete it's name from the add/delete software list?

Steve

Doug/all, I just got this on multiple browsers in my email...
I have NOT looked into it.

Katie Soft Scroll (2.9 MB) 32-bit
For all of us you like to have at least 2 browsers open at once, this
program will solve you having to click back and forth between
browsers. KatieSoft Scroll will let you have 4 open browsers that can
all be going to different web sites. Have each browser open to a
different home page and start your web travels in style. It does
require Netscape Navigator 4.0/Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. The
interface looks like a normal browser, but you can configure it to be
split screen with a 2 window browser or go full force with 4 open
windows within your browser. It can be a little intimidating at first,
but once you learn how to handle more than one browser, you will find
your web browsing goes faster. Details and screen shot here:
