Kory,< why would my disputing that computers are becoming commodities give me more or less reason to buy Dell? > I don't know if you do any on-line pc shopping but if you have you will notice that Toshiba keeps looking better and better. I'm talking about lap tops in price and performance/options. As we speak Toshiba is unloading shiploads of them. Its called the answer to Japans problem. Export, export and continue to export. Next year, all pc's will be commodities especially at the retail level. Why buy Dell? Their server and Pc sales to the corporate world will make them less exposed to the retail commodity rat race.(imho).
