Thanks for the excellent clarification.Since this was the first night I tracked the globex on a scrolling chart - is the volatility all over the map like it was last night?

I am really only concerned about their direction... but I can see that could be misleading... sometimes... especially when the last trades aren't factored into the markets.

So you gotta know the closing of the futures and their behavior between market close and futures close.
