Maybe if I am short the S&P's I can start a rumor and spam it across SI. Do you think it would have the same effect?

Leland--my broker was encouraging me to buy a couple of the banks stocks.

I guess his brokerage firm must be pushing it--don't know. I told him that it was premature and said who knows how much exposure there is to to Latin America. At that point he said -- Oh!! Latin America--who knows what that is going to mean for the banks" Therein probably lies the reason that the BKX has been clobbered so badly--not that the exposure is there -- but more that noone knows how much exposure there may be out there.
