Chuzz, thanks for your comments. Generally I agree that unfriendly T-O is bad news for incumbent mangement... which tends to be positive for shareholders. If TLAB is aware that R&D folks of CIEN are to be retained, then I'm OK for unfriendly T-O as well. However, as we have seen unlikely due to these "shareholder rights".

Another option for TLAB is to go raid some of the CIEN R&D folks... not nice maneuver, but would maybe allow them to build themselves... maybe CIEN R&D ready to jump in light of recent CIEN stock price decline and WS seeing TLAB walking away as positive... this would fire TLAB shares higher while CIEN still lower, providing additional incentive... just speculating.

General question to all: Do you want the merger fall thru completely or should it just be renegotiated further to .50 or so?
