Next week Ciena attends NFOEC (National Fibre Optic Engineers Conference) in Orlando. It is usual for companies to announce orders and new products at these conferences. CIEN also will host a conference call discussing their earnings and outlook. I expect CIEN to announce additional customers at the conference. It seems highly unlikely that TLABs would back away from CIEN at this time. If one understands the future of digital cross-connects, one would know that TLABs needs optical technology to stay in the game. They were already working on optical technology but felt their R&D wasn't progressing fast enough. THEY NEED CIENA. Investors shouldn't underestimate how badly they need Ciena.
